Lieutenant Roger E. Rhodes

Lieutenant Roger Rhodes has been a member of the Campus Police Department since October 2001. He attended the Ohio Police Academy at Apollo and graduated in 1981. Prior to coming to St. Rita’s he worked for the Cridersville Police Department, Lima Correctional Institution and Bluffton Police Department. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice which he completed in 2002. Roger has also successfully completed the International Association of Healthcare Security and Safety Advanced Training Certification and is a Certified Advanced Healthcare Security Officer (CAHSO). He is a past board member of the West Ohio Food Bank and currently serves on the Board of Our Daily Bread Soup Kitchen. He is active in his church and plays guitar for the Praise Team. He enjoys most sports, playing the guitar and is an avid bicyclist. Roger is married with four children, two grandchildren and resides in Bluffton.
Sergeant James Frisby

Sergeant Frisby started his law enforcement career in 1998 as a part time police officer with the Spencerville Police Department. In 1999 he was promoted to part time sergeant overseeing scheduling and other functions of the part time police officers. He continued his services with the Spencerville Police Department after he was hired in 2000 with the St. Rita’s Police Department until 2004. In the fall of 2001 he was promoted to sergeant with St. Rita’s PD and has been the departments OPOTC Firearms Instructor since 2004. In March of 2008, Sergeant Frisby became a part time Park Ranger with the Johnny Appleseed Metro Park District. In his spare time he enjoys archery, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.
Sergeant Everett E. Wehrly

Sergeant Everett Wehrly started his career with St. Rita’s Police Department in November of 2003. He is a member of the bike team, goals committee and organizes the quarterly physical fitness test. In 2004 he was awarded Officer of the Year. He has successfully completed the basic training certification of the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety. He has achieved the St. Rita’s Police Department’s 80th percentile fitness award. In his free time he enjoys going fishing, riding his Harley and spending time with his family.
Sergeant Myles J.Cartwright

Sergeant Cartwright has been with SRMC Campus Police since 2001. Prior to that he served in the US Army with the 25th Infantry Division. After leaving the Army, he first worked full-time with the Ottawa Police Department, before joining the Campus Police. Sgt. Cartwright was promoted to his current rank in 2007. On his off time, he is busy working towards a degree in Business Administration and raising his family. He enjoys football, Buckeyes and the Steelers, movies, reading and many outdoor activities, including competing in triathlon.
Sergeant Penny L. Keller-Clark

Sergeant Penny Keller-Clark started her law enforcement career in 1988 as an auxiliary police officer with the Elida Police Department. She joined the SRMC Campus Police Department in 1989 after graduating from the Ohio Police Academy at Apollo Career Center. She was promoted to Sergeant in December of 2007. She has received Officer of the Year in 2002 and 2005. She has successfully completed the basic training certification of The International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety. She has completed training in crisis intervention and is a CIT Officer. She has obtained numerous law enforcement training certificates through the Ohio Peace Officer’s Training Academy. Sgt. Keller-Clark is an instructor at Rhodes State College with the Police Academy. She has also been an officer on the Ada Police Department since 1989 and has served as a dispatcher and court bailiff for the department. For the first time in history she was awarded the employee of the year award in 2007 as a part time employee for the Ada Police Department. She has received a commendation award for coordinating the first Ada Citizen Police Academy. She has been the Ada Zoning Inspector since 2004. She enjoys country living with her husband; raising goats and chickens and gardening.
Officer Allen W. Behnke

Officer Behnke graduated from Sandusky High School in 1973 and the following fall attended Lorain County Community College where he studied Urban Political Sciences. He later studied Criminal Justice by attending the former Lima Technical College now Rhodes State College and received his AAS in Criminal Justice in December of 1999. Al has worked in various fields of vocation from shipbuilding, to steelmaking and stationary engineering in a power plant, and as varied as in other professions involving firefighting (currently a volunteer with Shawnee Fire Department), Corrections (served six years on Special Response Team as chemical munitions expert and trainer) and Law Enforcement. Al started in Law Enforcement with Elida Police Department in 1988 as an auxiliary patrolman and after receiving his certification from OPOTA through Apollo Adult Education in 1989, he was commissioned as a full patrolman for Elida. He stayed there until spring of 1995, his final rank being Chief of Police. In spring of 1994 Officer Behnke started his tenure with SRMC first as a casual employee and has remained with the organization moving up to part time status where he remains to this day. In his leisure time Al likes weightlifting, running 5Ks, bicycling, walking his dogs, fishing, boating, skiing, diving, swimming and enjoying weekends at his summer home on the lake entertaining various friends. He also enjoys all types of music and the various arts.
Officer Ted L. Boop

Officer Ted Boop came to St. Rita’s Medical Center Campus Police Department in 1995 after 25 years of prior service with the Lima Police Department starting in 1970. He was awarded Police Officer of the Year in 1994 and retired in 1995. He received the Officer of the Year for SRMC Police Department in 2007. He attends Bluelick Bible Church. He enjoys camping, hiking, swimming, bicycling, yard work and gardening.
Officer Mark M. Fields

Officer Fields started his career in law enforcement in 1991. He attended the Ohio State Highway Patrol Academy in Columbus Ohio, and was subsequently employed as a sworn Police Officer at the Fort Shawnee Police department, where he currently is employed as a full time Patrolman. He started working with the St Rita's Campus Police Department in 1994 and is currently employed as a part time officer. In his free time he enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and weight lifting.
Officer Dennis J. Foxvog

Officer Foxvog joined SRMC police department in 2005. He attended Apollo vocational school where he successfully completed the basic police academy. Officer Foxvog also works as a part time officer for the Village of Fort Shawnee Police Department. On his off time he enjoys running, bicycling, hunting, camping, and spending time with his family.

Officer Harrison has been a member of the SRMC Police Department since 1999. He served in the U.S. Air Force achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant in the Security Forces prior to becoming a SRMC Police Officer. Officer Harrison achieved the SRMC Police Department 80th percentile fitness award. He is an active member of the Bike Patrol. He enjoys walking his dogs, exercising and spending time with his family.

Officer Heuerman is married with a ten year old son and a three year old daughter. He graduated from Lima Senior in 1996 and from Rhodes State Police Academy in 2005. Officer Heuerman has been working for St. Rita's since 2005.
Officer Amanda J. Leugers

Officer Amanda Leugers joined the SRMC Campus Police Department in Feb. 2005. She graduated from Rhodes State College Academy in Sept. 2005. She is a member of the bike patrol. She is also a certified EMT-B and First Responder. Prior to changing careers, she taught music and dance to ages 2 through 18 at several locations. She also taught Music Therapy at the Putnam County Autism/Alternative Center. Officer Leugers is currently volunteering as a member of the Bluffton Family Recreation Board. She is also a member of the New Creation Lutheran Church in Ottawa. In her spare time she enjoys dancing, singing, walking her dogs and spending time with her family.

Officer King joined the SRMC Campus Police Department in July 2007. He also works for Perry Police Department as an auxiliary officer on his time off. He enjoys weightlifting, running, playing soccer and time with his family.
Officer Ronald E. Roop

Officer Roop has been with St. Rita's Medical Center Campus Police Department since 1983. He has been an Ohio Certified Peace Officer since 1978, retired as Uniopolis Police Chief in 2006, and is a member of the Auglaize County Sheriff's Auxiliary. He is a member of the Uniopolis Volunteer Fire Department and the Uniopolis Historical Society. He is a member of the Wapakoneta Community Worship Center ( Assembly of God) . He is an U.S. Navy Vietnam veteran member of the VFW. He appreciates the closeness of his family, riding horses, motorcycles, hunting, and fishing.
Officer Robert D. Sarchet

Officer Sarchet has been employed as a part time officer for St. Rita’s for thirty years working mostly 3rd shift hours. He is also a full time police officer at the Lima Police Department. Officer Sarchet enjoys working with all the hard working, dedicated and friendly people at St. Rita’s and has made many friends over the years.

Officer Sam Smith has been a member of the SRMC Campus Police Department since April 2002. He graduated from the police academy in May 1990. Prior coming to St. Rita’s he served as a full time officer with the Bluffton Police Department for 10 years. While at SRMC he served in the rank of Sergeant for four years, prior to taking the opportunity as an officer on day shift where he is currently serving. In 2006 he received Officer of the Year award. He successfully completed basic training certification of the International Association for Healthcare Safety and Security. He is an active member of the bike patrol, and in his spare time he enjoys music, guitar and most any outdoor activity.

Officer Steve Snyder has been in law enforcement since 1991.He has been employed 13 years with the St. Rita's Medical Center Campus Police Department. He held rank of Sergeant from 2001-2007 then taking the opportunity for a day shift position as an officer. He enjoys camping, hiking, and most of all golf. Officer Snyder has been active with Community service projects, SRMC P.D. bike rodeo, Royal Family Kids Camp, Ohio Reads, Caring Committee and Multiple Sclerosis Society yearly walk.
Officer Jon E. Swisher

Officer Jon Swisher joined the SRMC Police Department in September of 2003. He was a patrolman for the Bluffton Police Department since August 2003. He is an active bike patrol officer with both departments. Jon is also an EMS First Responder for Bluffton P.D. and B.R. F.D. Since 1988 in his spare time he runs with Beaverdam Richland Fire Department as a volunteer. He enjoys spending time with family and friends and outdoor activities.

Scott Wannemacher joined the SRMC Police Department in 2000. Officer Wannemacher resigned to pursue other career options in 2005. He returned to SRMC Police Department in 2007 and works both as a dispatcher and an officer.

Officer William Weaver has been a full-time SRMCPD officer since 2002. William currently has an associate's degree in Criminal Justice. William was an auxiliary Sheriff's Deputy for Allen County Sheriff's Office prior to his employment at St. Rita's. He enjoys biking and spending time with his wife and daughter.

Officer Dave Zimmerly has been a member of the SRMC police dept. since Feb. 2005. Prior to coming to SRMC he was a police officer for the ADA Police Dept. for 13 years where he was a Sergeant and was also named Law Enforcement Officer of the year for 1999-2000. He was also a member of the county (SRT) Team and also spent a short time with the Dept. of Defense as a full time police officer. Dave currently is a part-time officer with the Johnny Appleseed Metro Park District and he is also a member of the American Township Fire Dept. On his off time Dave enjoys spending time with his children, running 5k races and running to stay in shape.
